  • General Requirements 

    *This is a renewable bursary of $2000.  There will be only one scholarship awarded this year.

    *Must be a first year, first time student with admission to Burman University

    * This scholarship requires a student apply for and receive a Canadian government student loan of at least $8,500 or a U.S. government Direct Subsidized Loan equal to the annual maximum.

     

    All applicants must provide a final government Notice of Assessment to Student Financial Services (scholarships@burmanu.ca) by August 11.

     

    All applicants must submit a short (max 250 words) written response of what receiving this award would mean to them. (To be reviewed by the donor.)

     

    The award is applied in a 50/50 split between Fall and Winter terms. 

    All Entrance scholarships require students to register for and complete a minimum of 12 credits in the Fall and Winter terms.

    Eligibility to renew is based on meeting the minimum credit requirement,  achieving a 2.5GPA and continuing to demonstrate financial need through the use of a student loan each year.

  • If entering Burman in Year 2 or more you are not eligible for this scholarship.  Please complete the Transfer scholarship application. Do not submit this form.

  • This scholarship is only available to students who apply for and recieve a Canadian government student loan of at least $8,500 or a U.S government Direct Subsidized Loan equal to the annual maximum.
